Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by BD Biosciences: BD may cancel courses for reasons of
expected attendance, weather or other circumstances making it impractical to
hold the course. If a course is cancelled, BD will refund the course tuition
in full or provide an alternative date for the course. In most cases, BD will
be able to notify registrants at least 21 days prior to the start of class of
a course cancellation.
Cancellation by student: Cancellations received at least 21 days prior to the
class start date will receive a full refund. If a cancellation or reschedule
request is received fewer than 21 days before the start date, a cancellation
fee of up to 33% may be applied, and the student will be required to reimburse
BD Biosciences for any costs incurred. Refunds will not be provided for 'no-shows'.
Note: You can either cancel online through the registration system or you can
contact the training coordinator. Non-payment of tuition does not constitute
a proper cancellation.

Training Provisions (US only): Two
training provisions are typically provided with the purchase of a flow cytometer,
except for the BD FACSArray Bioanalyzer. Each provision is valid for attendance
by one person at an operator course held at a BD Biosciences training center
during the year following cytometer installation. Each provision includes
lodging for five nights at a BD-selected hotel, class materials, lunches, a
group dinner (4 1/2 day operator courses only), and local transportation between
a BD-selected hotel near the training center and BD Biosciences.
Operator training for a particular instrument is not transferable to courses
offered for other products, nor may it be exchanged for a specialty class, or
on-site training without an additional fee.

Tuition Payment (US only): After you
have used up your training provisions (or they have expired), a tuition fee
will be charged for each student. To confirm registration for a class, you must
provide tuition payment information in the form of a faxed purchase order, credit
card information, or a check after you receive a training request acknowledgement
email.
For operator courses held at BD, tuition includes class materials, lunches,
a group dinner (4 1/2 day operator courses only), and local transportation between
a BD-selected hotel near the training center and BD Biosciences. The fee does
not include hotel lodging. For workshops, tuition includes course materials
and lunches.

Training at Your Facility: The daily
fee for training at your facility is $1,800. This fee covers course materials
for up to three participants and trainer time and travel. Additional materials
may be purchased for $65 per set.
