Human P450 BD Supersomes™ Enzymes and Solutions

BD Biosciences offers a complete line of Human Cytochrome P450s enzymes as part of the BD™ Supersome™ Enzymes product line. BD Supersomes are recombinant cDNA-expressed cytochrome P450 enzymes prepared from the baculovirus-infected insect cell system. The Cytochrome P450 family of enzymes metabolizes many xenobiotics to toxic/mutagenic/carcinogenic species and are therefore important to the understanding of drug toxicity and drug-drug interactions. Cytochrome P450s are expressed in many tissues in vivo, but are present at highest levels in the liver.

These enzymes provides very high levels of catalytic activity (typically six-fold higher than an average HLM sample) which is ideal for larger-scale production of metabolites for structural identification and the study of chemicals which are slowly metabolized.
